Self- Sufficient

Cody is in Vegas this week.
When Cody travels I encourage
James and Noelle
to be more self-sufficient to help
with the morning chaos.
A few weeks ago, Noelle dressed herself as usual.
On our way out the door, she put on her boots
and lifted up her skirt.
I saw she was missing her underpants
so I said,
"Noelle, we need to wear underpants to school".
She seemed a little miffed,
turned around and responded...
"Well I didn't have to yesterday!"
I added "check for underpants"
as a part of my morning routine.
This morning I noticed
she had on a pair.
They were mine.

James had a rough Friday

James had his lip glued shut today.

He was playing tag on the playground
when his face hit the slide.

James made it to the hospital
in time to get his wound fixed
(they used glue instead of stitches)
but only after the school nurse
called the wrong mom.

Some poor mom drove an hour from her office,
came into school to pick up her son,
and then said James
wasn't her kid.

Turns out James Hanson sounds alot like
James Swenson when your lip is swollen
and your front tooth is loose.

Ever get the feeling you forgot something but you don't know what it is?

Just received an e-mail from Nicole,
Paul's day care provider
(and one of Paul's most favorite people).

Nicole had a good giggle this morning...
as she found Paul wet,
bare- butted,
diaperless,
under his clothes for the day.

Cody has professed to not being a morning person.

But neither of us are sure what exactly happened...

Skating at Vilas

James' new passion is skating.

The kids received ice skates
(plus James got a hockey puck and stick)
from Kelsey and Kyle for Christmas.

Now he talks about hockey non-stop, and
starts hockey lessons on Monday.

Thank you Kelsey and Kyle!
